Ontario Centres of Excellence (OCE) helps companies connect the dots to help businesses find the resources they need to move to the next level.

Typically, this is in the area of connecting companies to researchers to further their R&D capacity, or it’s in the area of directing them to a partner organization to help secure some funding, or even just lending them some expertise. But, what we’ve heard from companies is that they also want help connecting to bright young talent that is of the calibre they’re used to dealing with through OCE programs.

So now OCE is connecting the dots through OCE ConNEXT.

This online service is free to use for OCE companies, allowing them to post job opportunities well-suited to individuals who have participated in OCE Talent programs such as First Job and Connections. Always free for these students and recent graduates, OCE ConNEXT levels the playing field for young people, highlighting them in terms of skills instead of professional experience.

We are pleased to work with an OCE Centre for Commercialization of Research-supported company, fanfare, to power this venture. Fanfare is a Toronto-based start-up incubating in Ryerson University’s Digital Media Zone, which is supported through OCE’s Experiential Learning Program.
