INVESTMENT ACCELERATOR FUND (IAF) Overview
The Investment Accelerator Fund (IAF) is an early stage seed fund managed by the Ontario Centres of Excellence (OCE) that is designed to help Ontario technology companies bring their products and services to market. Through early stage investment of up to $500K in the form of a convertible debenture (loan) in return for a nominal equity position, the IAF helps launch high potential ventures that are attractive to follow-on investors.
In addition to critical seed investment that is often challenging for early stage companies to secure, the IAF also provides access to valuable services such as market research and business mentoring through the Business Mentorship and Entrepreneurship Program. For more information on this program visit www.marsdd.com.
The IAF is part of the Ontario Market Readiness Strategy, which OCE is delivering in partnership with MaRS and the National Angel Organization. Together we provide a platform of resources that entrepreneurs and innovators can access to help create successful businesses.
