The initial focus of the Centre will be on commercializing new technology discoveries related to the environment, natural resources and energy; health and related life sciences; and digital media.

for Collaborative Proposals in Bio-Medical Research,
Ontario Centres of Excellence Call for Collaborative Proposals to encourage
the development and commercialization of Bio-Medical research in any of the
areas of communications and information technologies, energy, environmental
sciences,
materials and manufacturing and photonics or, a combination or convergence
thereof. Submission deadline is Wednesday, December 5, 2007 (17:00 local
time). Those applicants selected to submit a full proposal will be notified
by Thursday, December 20, 2007. Full proposals are due Friday, February
22, 2008.
Expressions of Interest
(EOIs) for Ontario-Catalonia collaborative research projects The
Ontario Centres of Excellence's Centre for Photonics and the Institute
of Photonics Sciences in Catalonia (ICFO) signed a Memorandum of
Understanding to cooperate in technical, scientific, technology transfer
and commercialization activities. Submission deadline is Monday,
September 24, 2007 (17:00 local time), research projects are
