OCE creates nanotechnology opportunities with Israel
At Ontario Centres of Excellence (OCE) we believe that innovation is driven by people and opportunity, and that means bringing together the right people to the right resources at the right time.
On Tuesday August 10, OCE, together with the Israel Economic Mission, co-hosted the first Israel-Ontario nanotechnology seminar at the Ontario Investment and Trade Centre in Toronto. Representatives from both countries met with Ontario researchers, industry and investors to share knowledge on the status of nanotechnology and innovation in both Ontario and Israel. Though separated by an ocean and a sea, both Israel and Ontario house top-notch nanotechnology researchers, leading research institutions, a strong industrial and business base and forward thinking governments devoted to driving research and innovation to new heights.
OCE President and CEO, Dr. Tom Corr, and OCE Director of Collaborative Research and Talent, Dr. Marc Nantel, were on hand at the event to speak to the status of nanotechnology in Ontario. They were joined by Dr. Eli Opper and Dr. Ora Dar from Israel's Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labour.
OCE looks forward to growing our relationship to better support international research and commercialization programs in Ontario and across Canada.
