Ontario Centres of Excellence (OCE) understands that sustainability makes good business sense. Our commitment to creating healthy and sustainable communities is demonstrated by the number of investments we've made in innovative technology related to water and waste management, green buildings, brownfields redevelopment and geomatics.
This year, OCE has taken an active role in partnering with key organizations and events whose primary focus is to promote the economic, environmental and social sustainability of Ontario. You might like to call it our Building Sustainable Communities event series. We like to call it the future.
To learn more about sustainability and what it means to you, join Ontario Centres of Excellence and our partners at any one of the following events over the next few months:
GLOBE 2010
GLOBE 2010 is one of the world's largest and longest-running events dedicated to the business of the environment. GLOBE has two main parts: a conference and a tradeshow. Together, they host over 10,000 participants from over 70 countries during the three-day program. This year's agenda offers sessions relevant to the topics of Cleantech and Sustainable Communities.
For more information, visit the GLOBE 2010 website.
Post-GLOBE
Building on the attendance of international delegations at Vancouver's GLOBE Conference, the Ontario Environment Industry Association (ONEIA) and its government partners offer a Post-GLOBE conference to provide more focused meeting and learning opportunities for Ontario and international firms. This year's program will be on future trends and opportunities in air quality, efficient buildings, energy, sustainable cities, sustainable transportation, and water and wastewater.
