Inspire the Next Generation of Materials Researchers
Through its Advance Materials Initiative, the Ontario Science Centre
(OSC) is looking for new material -- literally. OSC has put out the call
for advanced materials that will inspire their visitors and provoke inquiry
and experimentation. They've turned to OCE Inc. to tap into Ontario's
research community, hoping today's materials researchers will contribute
to an initiative that is sure to inspire the next generation.
This initiative is part of OSC's
Weston Family Innovation Centre, where
visitors can really get their hands on exciting new materials such
as aerogel, nitinol, ferrofluid and biocomposites. The Centre plans
to present advanced materials in a way that allows visitors to explore
their properties and potential in unexpected ways.
OSC is looking for presentation materials that can include physical
samples, digital media, audiovisual, photography, graphics, text, etc.
With more than a million visitors a year and an exciting new space dedicated
to fostering innovation skills in today's youth, the Ontario Science
Centre is an excellent venue to showcase Ontario innovations in materials.
