About OCE
Vision
The Ontario Centres of Excellence is the pre-eminent research-to-commercialization
vehicle in Ontario.
Mission
We take ideas to income. Created in response to Ontario’s most
critical competitive challenges, we facilitate economic growth through
support for industrially relevant R&D, the opening of new market opportunities
and the commercialization of leading edge discovery. We build strong industry
and academic relationships. And, we stimulate knowledge transfer through
the development of bright minds, moving their skills to the market.
Values
Partnership: We believe in the power of teamwork
and building effective partnerships both internally and externally.
The result is a culture based on transparency and the sharing of information.
Trust and Respect: We trust and respect our staff,
clients and stakeholders and we hold ourselves to the highest standards
of professionalism.
Flexibility and Agility: We believe in serving clients
and partners according to their needs and timelines. We identify with
the entrepreneurs we work with.
Risk-taking: We are in the “new ideas”
business. We value creativity and believe in life-long learning. We accept
the risks associated with furthering development of innovative ideas
and people.
Accountability: We are accountable for our individual
and collective decisions and actions as they impact our relationships
and the performance of the organization.
Positive Work Environment: We support diversity and
believe that OCE functions best when staff is like-minded – not
necessarily alike. And, we support programs that facilitate work-life
balance.
I'm writing to inform you of some recent, internal changes at Ontario Centres of Excellence (OCE). I am confident that these changes will establish stronger relationships with our industry and research institution partners, as well as our stakeholders.
The streamlining will allow OCE to become stronger, more nimble and ffective and better prepared to assume new opportunities and challenges, and will also facilitate the organization's emerging role in administering the Industry-Academic Collaboration Program (IACP) as part of the Ontario Network of Excellence (ONE). more
