I 3

The I 3 Project, offered through a partnership between OCE and IBM, will deliver an integrated suite of globally disruptive, advanced computing technology infrastructure and programming to Ontario’s small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Participating businesses will be able to leverage IBM’s technical, design and business resources to lower the cost of introducing new technologies to the global marketplace. I3 will help level the playing field for SMEs and provide a platform for ongoing economic growth.

Forming strategic partnerships with businesses to drive innovation is part of the government’s plan for delivering on its top priority of growing the economy and creating jobs. The four-part plan includes investing in people’s talents and skills; making the largest investment in public infrastructure in the province’s history; creating a dynamic, supportive environment where business thrives; and building a secure retirement savings plan.

This program is supported by the Ontario government with $22 million in funding through its Jobs and Prosperity Fund — Strategic Partnership Stream. It is expected to leverage more than $423 million in outside investments.

The Jobs and Prosperity Fund is providing $2.7 billion over 10 years to enhance productivity, bolster innovation and grow Ontario’s exports.
