Advancing research discoveries to market-ready innovations through early stage Proof of Principle (PoP) Funds
The Institutional Proof of Principle (IPoP) program helps public research institutions advance research discoveries to market-ready innovations through early stage Proof of Principle (PoP) Funds. Institutional PoP (IP development project funding), in partnership with multi-institution networks, positions discoveries to be further supported by the suite of services under the Industry-Academic Collaboration Program (IACP). IPoP is modeled after the Ministry of Economic Development and Innovation's Ontario Research and Commercialization Program B (ORCP B).
The Institutional Proof of Principle (IPoP) program provides funding to multi-institution networks. Networks are comprised of publicly funded Ontario academic institutions. IPoP helps bridge the gap between research discovery and market-ready invention. This program enables Intellectual Property development project funding which OCE delivers in partnership with the multi-institutional technology transfer networks.
